Aimee Lary
Aimee Lary hails from the Lone Star State and is a graduate of Prairie View A & M University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a Master of Arts in Counseling. She is a former Special Education Teacher with over ten years of experience. Aimee is a proud mother of an intelligent and creative ten-year-old daughter, Bailey Cannon. After realizing a shortage in diverse children's books, Aimee and Bailey agreed that it is imperative for black children to see themselves depicted in a positive way and they vowed to take part in the change.
Together the mother-daughter duo penned two books: The Day After Spring Break and Matchless Mom. In addition, Author Aimee Lary wrote The Principle of Reciprocity from Melanin Origins’ MA'AT Series. Aimee values reading, spending quality time with her family, and she also enjoys playing soccer and miniature golf with her daughter.
